Artemis: Utter Mess @ GPAC Little Thearte, Traralgon (RAV Tour)
A musical comedy about identity and finding the right words.
Saturday 10 May, 2025 | 7pm | GPAC Little Theatre
ARTEMIS: UTTER MESS welcomes you to join Artemis Muñoz as they unpack their journey to self-acceptance live on stage. This 60-minute cabaret featuring nine-original songs is a show for anyone who has ever wondered where they belong or been confused about living in a world that takes issue with words of identity and community but is keen to put us in the wrong boxes, nonetheless.
Artemis: Utter Mess, is a bitingly hilarious deconstruction of the 'one-man show' from the perspective of a nonbinary person. This 'one-enby show' breaks every possible binary to delight in the chaos of trying to work out who you are. Featuring original songs and utterly endearing storytelling, this show will make you both laugh and think as it tears into our assumptions about labels, language and community.
The show centres around Artemis’ experience of discovering and learning to understand their identities as a trans, nonbinary, ace (asexual), neurodivergent, and bi-racial person. This journey is used as a case study to unpack why community and identity is important against the backdrop of a world that continues to ask “why do you have to label everything?”

Reviews
“It was truly amazing to see so many intersecting identities spoken and sung about with equal measures raw vulnerability, improvised comedy and polished skill (what a voice omg!) It was both entertaining and all too real… I had never seen my own experiences reflected so earnestly and accurately in art before.”
— Audience Review, La Mama Autumn 2022

Piper
Once upon a time in a far away land some dude with a flute ran an elaborate scam.
Well that's the official stance of the council and media… they’re always reliable right?
Frenzy Theatre Co presents the Australian Gothic reimagining of the Pied Piper of Hamelin with an ensemble of female and non-binary performance makers, circus artists and live instrumentalists. A warped version of the much loved fable that will have you questioning the very ground you stand on and rooting for the wrong side.
PIPER is a theatrical explosion of ideas that defies definition for a post-truth media saturated world. It's fun, it's bold, it's unforgettable.
