If you're an artist interested in providing either Relaxed or Low Sensory sessions (or both!) then this event is for you.
As well as being a general information session about these two specific areas of access, we are intending for this session to be an upskilling.
Our hope is that after this session, you feel you have some of the skills to create your own Low Sensory or Relaxed Performance event.
There are a number of different elements required when it comes to delivering these types of access. One of the key components for delivery is consultation with a member of the neurodivergent community. We're therefore giving priority to artists with lived experience of neurodivergence, with the aim that following on from the session, makers feel empowered to go forth and craft Relaxed and Low Sensory access into not only their own works, but perhaps the works of other Fringe artists!
While we are prioritising neurodivergent attendees, this event is also open to non-neurodivergent artists. We want to connect identifying with non-identifying artists so that there might be opportunity for future access consultation and collaboration.
We hope that the session provides an opportunity for people to ask questions, up skill, and connect throughout and after.
The session is hosted by Fringe's Access Advisor Carly Finlay, with guidance by artist Artemis Munzo, an expert in Relaxed and Low Sensory performances.
