WHAT THE HECK IS AN ARTEMIS?

Artemis is a performing artist and writer working across Independent Theatre, Cabaret, Online video and more.

Highlights from recent credits include:

  • Destroyed (Theatre Works 2024)

  • Sublime Stim (Arts House 2023)

  • Radical Access (State Library of Victoria and Melbourne Fringe Festival 2023)

  • Artemis: Utter Mess (Arts Centre Melbourne, The Channel for Alter State Festival 2022)

They are the most recent recipient of the Stella Young Award and regularly work not just as an artist but as an access consultant, sensitivity reader and mentor.

Outside of their professional life, they can often be found working with grassroots activist movements or playing way too many board games.

Frenzy Theatre Co presents the Australian Gothic reimagining of the Pied Piper of Hamelin with an ensemble of female and non-binary performance makers, circus artists and live instrumentalists. A warped version of the much loved fable that will have you questioning the very ground you stand on and rooting for the wrong side.

PIPER is a theatrical explosion of ideas that defies definition for a post-truth media saturated world. It's fun, it's bold, it's unforgettable.
