Artemis: Utter Mess (La Mama On Screen)

A show about identity and language. Artemis takes to the stage with 34 cardboard boxes in an hour long cabaret unpacking their intersectional experience as a non-binary, aspec and neurodivergent person.
Featuring nine original songs, this show challenges the idea that ‘labels’ are inherently oppressive in a show full of humor, heart and a healthy dose of reality.

“This show was marvelous. Artemis’ voice is beautiful, their songwriting genius, and their ability to hold vulnerability in humour mind-blowing!”
— Audience Review, Melbourne Fringe 2019

“Thoughtful and thought provoking. Hilarious and sad at the same time, but so damn creative. I've seen some unboxing videos on YouTube but I've never seen anyone unbox their own character on stage, being 100% honest, while wearing a dinosaur onesie! Art has given us a look into their world. What an amazing person! A unique piece of art!”
