ARTEMIS: UTTER MESS welcomes you to join Artemis Muñoz as they unpack their journey to self-acceptance live on stage. This 60-minute cabaret featuring nine-original songs is a show for anyone who has ever wondered where they belong or been confused about living in a world that takes issue with words of identity and community but is keen to put us in the wrong boxes, nonetheless.

Artemis: Utter Mess, is a bitingly hilarious deconstruction of the 'one-man show' from the perspective of a nonbinary person. This 'one-enby show' breaks every possible binary to  delight in the chaos of trying to work out who you are. Featuring original songs and utterly endearing storytelling, this show will make you both laugh and think as it tears into our assumptions about labels, language and community.

The show centres around Artemis’ experience of discovering and learning to understand their identities as a trans, nonbinary, ace (asexual), neurodivergent, and bi-racial person. This journey is used as a case study to unpack why community and identity is important against the backdrop of a world that continues to ask “why do you have to label everything?”

Join us for a celebration of Autistic LGBTQIA+ Pride.

This event is for Autistic LGBTQIA+ folk and allies to enjoy neuroaffirming and LGBTQIA+ friendly presentations, performances and activities and meet people in your community. The event is for people 18 years and older.

Artemis: Utter Mess welcomes you to join Artemis Muñoz as they unpack their journey to self-acceptance live on stage! 

This show is for anyone who has ever wondered where they belong or been confused about living in a world that takes issue with words of identity and community but is keen to put us in the wrong boxes, nonetheless. 

In this show, Artemis looks over their journey to self-discovery as a non-binary, asexual, bi-racial and neurodivergent person through song, story and several excellent puns. 

This show explores themes of queerphobia (specifically aphobia and transphobia), ableism and ablelist language, mental illness, and mentions eugenics.
